About Us

Hi 👋🏼 We’re Tyler, Corrie, and Tucker — an Australian family navigating life after a sudden and life-changing diagnosis. Our journey began when Tucker, our beautiful, bright-eyed boy, fell seriously ill with bacterial meningitis. In the whirlwind that followed, we faced the unimaginable: seizures, critical care, and the devastating news that Tucker was profoundly Deaf in both ears.

The Language Lane is our story of love, resilience, and redefining what it means to communicate. We are learning to embrace bilingualism, exploring spoken language and Auslan (Australian Sign Language), and celebrating every victory, no matter how small. This space is for sharing our journey, from the emotional highs and lows to the practicalities of navigating hearing loss and cochlear implants.

We hope The Language Lane offers comfort, insight, and hope to families walking a similar path or anyone who wants to learn about hearing loss, cochlear implants, and the beauty of signing.

Thank you for joining us as we learn, grow, and fiercely love our little boy. We’re grateful to have you here, our village makes us stronger.

With love,

Tyler, Corrie, and Tucker
